Student Ministries exists as a space for teens to have fun and belong in community, be empowered to lead, and most of all, to learn to live and love like Jesus!
What happens during a typical gathering?
At a typical youth group gathering, you can expect to have recreational time and play games, learn from the Bible, spend time in small groups based on grade-level and gender, and have a snack! We have special events throughout the year, like our Block Party, Dodgeball Tournament, Small Group Night Out, and more.
Do you have other types of events or trips?
Student Ministries also hosts overnight and day trips, camps, retreats, conferences, and more!
What about safety?
Safety is a top priority for all of us! All our adult leaders have a cleared background check on file, completed sexual abuse awareness training, and receive ongoing training on how to lead young people in their faith.
About Our Youth Group Name & Logo
Student Ministries encompasses all ministries catering to your 6th – 12th graders and families. Movement (MVMT) is a youth group name, our main strudent ministries gathering at the Church of the Nazarene. Although simple and weak, in the hands of a skilled creator, paper is intentionally constructed and folded on edges to glide through the air. Somethig that is simple is made beautiful and is given a purpose in the hands of its creator. God molds and shapes us into the people we have been called to be through Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are designed to move towards God. We are designed to move towards those around us. We are designed to move towards the future that God is already building in our midst. We are designed for movement as we anticipate at the edge of heaven.
We are a MVMT of young people transformed by God to bring hope to others through Christ in the Shenandoah Valley!
